So much of our energy is tied up in maintaining the “stories” we have told ourselves about who we are, what we believe, what we love or hate, what we have endured, how we have been hurt etc…
I invite you to bring a little curiosity and love to the narratives you have playing on autopilot in your head. Once you have identified one or two, ask yourself: are they accurate, true and in alignment with my soul truth? Or are they outdated, limiting and constrictive to my energy?
Ask and answer in the spirit of loving exploration and non-judgment. And know that the sheer act of bringing your attention to these automatic thought patterns will help you shift your energy. When we can witness these processes from a detached perspective we create more space between the thought and our emotion which allows us to shine more light on outdated “stories” that might be holding us back.
Take a few moments to pause, take a breath, center yourself and examine what’s on autopilot in your mind. Practice this daily to help you create a little more energetic space in your body for new more expansive and aligned patterns to take shape.
***Pro tip: try this while actively engaging with someone and you are feeling triggered. We can learn so much about ourselves when we have to courage to lean into our discomfort with curiosity and an open heart.
So tell me below, what “stories” do you wear as masks? Where might you be holding yourself back for fear of dropping these masks and stepping into the fullness of who you are?
